This song is one of the best dance tracks to come out of the 80s! Thank you Nona, it deserves wider recognition! BTW, for those of you wanting the 12" version on CD, it's available on an English compilation "Disco Discharge - Disco Ladies" on Demon's Reckless Label!

The first time I heard this was in a dance club in the early 80's. It still sounds just as great ...and still inspires me to get up and dance!

@Venu337 it was written by Ellie Greenwich, it was the opening number of the second act for the Broadway production of Ellie's life and career, "Leader of the Pack" back in 1985. The Broadway version was sung by Gina Taylor, who has a phenomenal voice. Hope I could help.

Nona didn't write this one.
Summer 1982.. Wednesday Nites at the Hottest Club in town. The well liquor was 50 cents a drink. $1.00 admission and we hit the floor to this song and danced ALL nite till the lights came on !. I remember hearing this in the parking lot before I ever got to the door. We all had to be "confidential" coming out to the best gay bar music in town. No more charades, no masquerades, how times have changed... God Bless Nona for this song bringing us the memories we will hold for a lifetime !...
