October 8, 2008. I've installed a set of MTEC H7 4500K HID low beams on the 2008 ML320 CDI. As you can see, there are NO instrument cluster errors about left and right "bad bulbs". The lights work perfectly in all headlight settings (auto, daylight running lights, on, etc). There is no flickering.

  • what is the color hue on this bulbs?

  • 4500 Kelvin which is close to the 4100-4300K used in OEM applications. I didn't want to use 6000K and higher K bulbs because while they are more blue, they put out LESS lumens on the road (i.e. less light, no upgrade).

  • Nice piece of work. -13 degrees eh?

i dont think jaccchen23 gets the point. Go promote left wing values.

  • Nice setup. Are you using the Stock Halogen Projectors?

  • it seems like that black car turns the HIDs on with ignition ON. I think its not good to draw ~10 amps right before starting the engine, and also while cranking the voltage drops significantly causing HIDs to restart. I like the automatic lamps idea but it should be rather triggered by a a relay fed by a alternator charging wire, or special electronic device which senses voltage increase meaning the engine just started. (not meaning to sound smartass just my 2cents)

  • we really don't care what you drive....you don't have to tell the whole world you drive BMW and Mercedes....Besides, it's only BMW and Mercedes, not that big of a deal

  • nice,what is the ballast type?Is it R1 type?

  • Own a e240 currently, hopefully one day I\ll buy a ML320 cdi . Love you SUV mate ^^

  • nice cars :-)
