Piper Mirage VH-ZMM Archerfield to Longreach

536 nm leg from Archerfield to Longreach in outback Queensland. Had to divert up to 35 nm north of my intended track to avoid the afternoon thunderstorms. Longreach is the birth place of Qantas and you will see their static 707 & 747 aircraft on display as we taxi in to parking.

do you keep it hangared all the time? if so how much do you pay? and what is the total insurance cost on this guy? Im looking into buying a new g1000 mirage and I hear alot of conflicting prices on in this and that but I like your vids so im asking you to :) happy flying..!

@9mrman - Hi, Yes the aircraft is hangered all the time and I would recommend that when you spend this much money on an aircraft. Hanger costs in Australia at my airport are around $1100 per month for my own private metal clad hanger. Insurance costs around $16k per year.

Hard to fly - NO. You just need to watch your speed control on decent especially if it is a little rough.
