Basically, Queseda and Bendis ruined The Avengers. Disassembled was crap. The Scarlet Witch is insane? Give me a break! New, Dark, Mighty. Crap. Talk about overblown stupid. They've made these heroes without honor and without compassion. I guess I'm too old for Marvel comics now.

The thing is, nobody needed Disassembled. Scarlet Witch went nuts over losing her kids/they weren't real. Nice idea, IF it wasn't already done 12-15 years prior in Avengers: West Coast. Just like the whole Hank Pym/Janet Pym wife slap/remorseful situation was covered in that book & put to a logical conclusion, until it was needlessly brought back.

I disagree with the couple comments on here that "Disassembled" was crap. I thought it was a bold move and made for some great story telling. I love Scarlet Witch ... and watching her sanity slowly unravel and the power that lies within her, boil to the surface, was one of the most epic points in the history of her character. We had the events that unfolded, leading to "House of M" ... as well as "Thor Disassembled" which is perhaps the greatest Thor book ever written. Incredible art as well.

Right! These are plots and situations that should never have become issues again. At best it's weak storytelling. As much as people disliked Jim Shooter when he was in charge, he at least had respect for the characters and the reader. Even at his most lame, i.e. "Secret Wars", he still maintained the characters' integrity. They didn't do things just out of the blue.

Not to mention the fact that Quesada let Bendis make the team out of all his pet characters, and not who should be Avengers. There is no reason, logical or not, that you can give me that makes it right that Wolverine is Avengers material. Especially when he's currently active as both an X-Man & a X-Force member. Why were Spider-Woman, Alias & Luke Cage all thrown in there? Because Bendis liked them. He made the team into a ton of street levelers & a crazy crybaby Superman ripoff for years.

Not only Bendis & Quesada, but also Chuck Austen all made Avengers far less than it should be. They all constantly retread storylines that not only had been done before, but also were resolved before. Wanda losing her family & going nuts? Wasp coming to grips with Hank having slapped her & their marriage disintegrating? Both done and handled in West Coast Avengers over a decade ago.

Yes disassebles was soooo wrong. look how many classic cool characters they gave the chop to, and blamed the Scarlet Witch.... Noooooo its because you guys wanted your fingers in the pie and ruin a perfectly good team with HONOR, MORALS AND RESPECT lol ok getting off my soap box now lol
