Michael Jackson is known throughout the world as the king of pop, but it took a Jackson village to aid him in becoming The Greatest Entertainer of All Time. Michael got his start with is brothers in the Jackson 5, and by buying his old music, I got in touch with his other famous siblings and nephews that have a great amount of talent and needs some recognition as well. In celebrating Michael's life and legacy,I realized that I took them for granted and celebrate them as being a greatest family of all time.

  • What u said about sarifice was soo true!!! We must keep their legacy alive!

  • Nice going Trish....you know your stuff (lol).

The answer to #2 was Stevie Wonder. As youngsters, both Stevie and Michael used their natural voices more than their falsetto's.

  • Question 1) This is easy, Dancing Machine is on both G.I.T.: Get It Together and of course Dancing Machine. Question 2) Hmmm not sure if I had to take a lucky guess, I would say a member from the Temptations.

  • Triva: Name the 2 Jackson 5 albums that had the same song on each? (Greatest Hits, Anthology's and Best Of DON'T COUNT!!!)

Trivia: Even though Little Michale Jackson emulated the suave moves of Jackie Wilson & James Brown, who did he owe his vocal learnings to?

    Have Fun!!!

  • World Of Sunshine if fun, has a Partridge Family kind of groove. "come on get happy......." This isn't a Jackson 5/Jacksons album I don't like. I like to meet people that appreciate their music both old and new. From the Motown Baby

  • I love Can I See You In The Morning, play it quite a bit. Now that I have all the 70's stuff, I really like it more than the 80's. I was amazed on how many rappers sampled their music so some of the "sound" was familiar to me, plus it helps to have a Motown Mommy (lol.)

  • Oh...BTW...if you wanna hear then sing songs totally different from what they were known for, listen to the album called "Skywriter". The title track is fun and different, but check out a song called "World Of Sunshine". This is when they had a different flavor of writers.

  • Thanks, Trish. But there's a song that shows the R&B quality of their music and vocals. It's on an album called "Third Album" (yes, their 3rd album) and the song is called "Can I See You In The Morning". It's one of those songs that you never heard on the radio back then. I'm a Motown Daddy (lol) and I have excellent "MUSICAL" knowledge of the Jackson 5.

  • @ afrosensuous you raised some really great questions and you are right we will never know the man behind the music. However I will say that by now owning all the music from him and his siblings, it gives me a better insight of how hard they worked and gave me a much greater appreciation and insight on what made him and his family so great. BTW I am no longer posting on the PASymphony channel and now on GadgetTrish channel, and thank you for leaving such a thought provoking questions.

  • We'll never learn about the man behind the mjusic because we've all been starstruck and never showed concerned for his musical aspects. For example: What was the hardest song for him to record? What song took the longest to record? What song did he think wouldn't be as big as it was? What wa the hardest act-rehearsal for the Jackson 5 TV show? That's what we'll never know.
