Burnaby Village Museum Carousel May 08

For Megan's birthday, we headed over to the Burnaby Village Museum to ride the carousel. Great facility for a bday party. Caitlin LOVED the music. Hi Mom!

Where is Burnaby Village? The carousel looks like a Parker, and the band organ is a Wurlitzer model 146-B, the B is for bells. The organ is a bit out of tune.

this place rocks. I'm volunteering there this summer.

@theorganguy Actually, the organ has needed a lot of work. The pressure is lower because of air leakage in the vacuum.

I know puristis don't like this, but have you considered putting glass in front of the organ to cut down the sound? Or put it in an alcove like they have done with the organs at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California? I have videos of them posted under my name to look at.

organ sounds out of tune because it is being run at a lower air-pressure then it was designed for
