Lesbian, Gay and Transgender rights in Cuba

In August, Rachel Evans gave a presentation entitled Rainbow
Cuba: the struggle against homophobia in the socialist
revolution.

Rachel is a gay and lesbian rights activist with
Community Action Against Homophobia (Sydney) and the
Socialist Alliance.

Rachel recently returned from a visit to Cuba
where she met with activists from the gay, lesbian and
transgender community.

Rachel's presentation examined the
history, achievements and challenges of their struggle for
equality in Cuba. It was an insightful and thought provoking
discussion amongst members.
