Santa Cruz Peace Chorale "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy" words & music by Pete Seeger. Excerpt from the concert "Where Have all the Flowers Gone? A Choral Tribute to Pete Seeger" performed May 16, 2008; conducted by Aileen Vance. This song got Pete censored during the Viet Nam war. He was invited to sing it on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and CBS wouldn't let the show air the song because they didn't' want to insult President Johnson. Unfortunately, this song rings as true today as it did in 1967; the names change, but the big fool still says to push on. Arr by Aileen, with help from "The Big Muddy Ensemble:" Takashi Yogi, Bob Culbertson, Jozeph Schultz, & Jeffrey Smedberg.
