Investigations open on going in to some city council, I call US Attorney's Office Public Info

I can't express the frustration at not knowing what is going on and if indeed the investigations are on going. They are. The rep from the State Attorney's Office Southern District Public Information corrected me when I used the general term "city council" and pointed out it is not all city council just certain staff and they already have guilty confessions from Miguel Martinez and aides to other city council members. She directed me to their website to find the press releases and it all seems to jive with info already published in The New York Post and NY Daily News. Yes, occasionally The New York Times as well but the Post has been the most aggressive revealing information. Here are links

I always joke he was the only one "honest" enough to admit he was stealing from the moment the got in office. I wish they did not let him resign but handcuffed him at City Hall to send a message.

For nauseating photo of Christine Quinn in what appears to be a celebratory kiss as she and her accomplices flush democracy down the toilet by denying us a referendum and putting the vote in front of "some" city council members and or aides being investigated for corruption only to later plead guilty as Miguel Martinez did or Seabrook and Stewarts aides did they all voted to extend term limits.

I added more links to the bottom of the text portion..some from blogs some from newspapers and I don't even scratch the surface but I continue to shake me head and wonder how could Seabrook and Stewart walk away? I added a link to a photo from NYTimes of Christine Quinn celebrating the term limits extension w/ a big kiss not realizing many of us felt it was criminal to be denied a referendum. Look at the guilty pleas and look who voted to extend so far.

Here in NYC, the city council speaker Christine Quinn was exposed for spending a big chunk of tax payer money for high priced defense attorneys that specialize in White Collar crime so it is extra sickening -- just lucky The NYPost carried the story although they have not followed up on it...Thanks again. Are you sure Mike Bloomberg is not on Crookston City Council...a sense of humor is how I survive!

Thanks. I would like to ask how Kendall Stewart and Larry Seabrook's aides could plead guilty and one aide was chief of staff and these council members plead innocent. How could they be unaware and the NYTimes had some damming pieces on Seabrook so how could they walk? Why does Christine Quinn and staff hire top white collar crime defense attorneys & tax payers get the bill? We are left wanting to know more. Silence made me wonder are the investigations over? No.

Good question and I was out to dinner when I got my phone call returned so I got a little excited...forgot to ask that question. That was why I added the link at the bottom of the text portion about she and her staff hiring the most high priced white collar crime lawyers at the tax payers expense. Public Info won't give out names unless they are in their press releases stating guilty pleas. The papers had been mum so now we know very much on going investigations.
