@MillBelater At the time yes, OS/2 ran PC-DOS and Windows applications in virtual machines. The blue spine versions of OS/2 usually had a set of floppies for install Windows 3.0, late 3.1. Since 386 and above had better memory management and the ability to run 8086 virtual machines, Windows, DOS, and OS/2 applications were separated, much like the blue box compatibility design in Mac OS X.

Things would have been quite different. Maybe the micro-bus architecture would have taken over too, and the PC platform would be IBMs again.

I get it.
*cough*

Me too only the Apple Ads show the OS

Microsoft Or Fuckersoft for that matter had nothing to do with the developement of OS/2, The Fuckersoft and IBM colaboration was like a Divorce, Fuckersoft and IBM both had the rights to use DOS,Windows, And OS/2 Technology
Note that the question: "Does it accept any windows or dos based application?" goes unanswered with a quick edit.
