Watching this has given me so much inspiration. my daughter was born healthy can eat walk run like any other almost 2 year old. but she has had problems with her left side. just yesterday the doctor has diagnosed her with Cerebral Palsy. thank you for postin videos of sweet Hope and how she is a fighter

@alsedenmark Your daughter was probably born a lefty, or became one, the minute she got the brain injury. And not because or left or right side is more affected. But it doesn't really matter, does it? A lot of the presidents are lefties, i'd vote for her:)

@alsedenmark "Normal" children who are left-handed are also at a bigger risk of developing a mentalilness like schizophrenia. A lot of left-handed children are also very artistic and visual which displays the "sensitive" side. Sometimes it also runs in the family, and if you look at the rest of your "lefthanded" family-members, you will begin to see the "artistic" resemblance, whether it's collecting stuff, doing music, art or whatever. Lefties often like to "dig deep" into stuff.

@fatherof9daughters What a sweet sweet girl. Such a bundle of energy and a miracle...And a cutiepie:) But i must correct you on the lefthanded theory. Statistics have shown that there's a larger ratio of lefthanded-children among brain-injured children, than there is among "normal" children. That doesn't mean that all lefthanded children are handicapped or vice versa. Just, that being lefthanded, is often a symptom of a small braindamaged somewhere. it could be a minor thing like dyslexia.

@fatherof9daughters my brothr has cerabal palsey, its so sad

@svan040395 We do have 2 children with brain injuries at birth but they have nothing to do with being a year apart. Their mother's uterus ruptured during birth and, once that happens, you're at extremely high risk for it happening again.

whats quadropleadria
chloecalifornia 8 months ago
@chloecalifornia Quadriplegia means all 4 limbs are affected. Paraplegia means just the legs are affected. Hemiplegia means one side, an arm and a leg, are affected.

I'm curious, what does being left handed have to do with her quadriplegia? Doe she have limited use of her right hand?

@Hadra568 Cerebral palsy very frequently affects one side of the body more than the other. In Hope's case there were early signs the right side was affected and it forced her to be left handed even though there are signs now that she probably would have been right handed if it hadn't been for this.
