Here's my cover of Ewan Dobson's tune Time 2.

I've never really understod why he called it Time 2 until I started learning it my self. The tune is basically some sort of spin off of his other tune called Time. Or well, the bass tones are at least identical.

I started learning this tune yesterday because a guy sent me a homemade tab of it, but it was unfortunately mostly wrong (except the intro) but it at least got me started working! The tune wasn't really that hard, got it down in about 45 minutes. So if I am playing something wrong I'm blaming my lazyness of only practicing a day :P But I don't think it's any fatal error in it!

Thanks for listening!

  • Learned it in 45 minutes, huh? Make your own compositions, sometimes.

  • @goronyudo Take a look at my channel and give them a listen.

  • Dude, what are your delay settings?

  • @SkylarGann Hey man, I saw your post on Ewan Dobson's fanpage, really inspirational! I can't remember the setting I used, but I used some software delay with custom settings. Ewan uses a Boss delay pedal set on 800ms.

  • You should remove the sound from the camera microphone and only use the plug in :) Otherwise it was good :)

  • @s3bbe1337 I did not use any camera microphone nor did I plug in the guitar, plus the guitar I'm using is not a good one. The action was not suited for the open C tuning, as well as the built in pickup is broken. I could reupload the video with my new guitar, with better sound, and my skill level is today a lot higher and I have also today practiced this piece more than 45 minutes, but I doubt it will get as much views.

  • @jpbijos Haha, no.

  • @cwinget2580 Ewan's music are not any ripoff of any kind and it would be sad if people though so since it takes lots and lots of practice to be able to play the way he does. But this tune is, in my opinion, hugely overrated for some reason (I like his other stuff more) and you are clearly able to hear that he's using a delay pedal. And that is the way this song gets it's sound. If you think that is a con, you're either extremely stupid and brain-dead or you're trolling.

  • tabs please

  • I play it with the delay at about 350ms. The original is more like 300ms but my fingers refuse to move that fast...

  • @salomon9595 I bought his sheetmusic for this track and I don't even play guitar that's how good it was.
