One lady in the audience says: I teach film, I make films. I would like to know what does meditation or how does meditation connect to your creative process or to how it might help the creativity of my students.

David Lynch: If you have a golf ball sized consciousness, when you read a book you'll have a golf ball sized understanding, when you look out a golf ball sized awareness and when you wake up in the morning a golf ball sized wakefulness.

But if you could expand that consciousness then you would read the book with more understanding and when you look out more awareness and when you wake up more wakefulness - it's consciousness.

  • It all fits together perfectly.......Bashar, Abraham Hicks, The Secret, Quantum Physics, Eckhart Tolle. Thanks for uploading this, it is very helpful for all of us!

  • David is a star speaker of the Transcendental Meditation movement. Why? Because he owns what he is saying - consciousness, bliss, Unified Field .... - he knows from experience a n d he makes it flowing in the hustle and bustle of life

  • i love how just when David Lynch starts talking about the golf ball,l it cuts to a shot of a bald guy sitting there (0.59). oh that crazy David lynch and his meaningful editing ;)

  • @Mi37591 If it was you'd think there'd be actual evidence for it instead of insane conspiracy talk and confirmation bias.

  • 911 was an inside job.. even David Lynch knows this.

  • I agree with David Lynch. Thank you for this great video!

  • @8something8 in my opinion.. the diversity being spoken of is merely the form of the unity.. the unified field is organized in a way where diversity does occur while remaining part of a whole. im not sure i understood your argument though.

  • Sounds like the Force.

  • i'm not into his films. they're ok. but i LOVE what he's saying about TM. if it's good enuf for stern and mutt it's good enuf for me.

  • Lynch's works are brilliant, seeming outwardly a bit pathological in their theme and content - inwardly they may well be reflections of our ordinary waking state - a state that can be more an evil nightmare filled with unreal fantasies.

Mulholland Drive is like our violent inner reality; the film's characters express that in an exaggerated Dreamspeak.

Our waking dreams can be destructive and really hold us back, while the whole time we can just wake up from the Matrix and live far better.

  • Lynch's works brilliant, outwardly seeming a bit pathological in their theme and content - inwardly they may well be reflections of our ordinary waking state - a state that is after all more an evil nightmare filled with unreal fantasies.

Mulholland Drive is like our daily inner reality while the characters in the film talk in exaggerated Dreamspeak.

Our waking dreams can be destructive and really hold us back, while the whole time we can just wake up from the Martix and live far better.

  • David Lynch is my hero.
