Mike Richards Hits David Krejci Ends His Season

Richards nailed Krejci at the blue line, causing the Boston forward to skate off the ice. Richards' hit knocked Krejci out of the game -- and the rest of the postseason -- with a broken wrist. Unfortunately for the Flyers, the hit led to a Boston fast break, ending with a goal by Miroslav Satan, giving the Bruins a 2-1 lead.

@pat442389 Yeah inconsistency really is the killer with an 82 game regular season. But yeah man, guys that can play exceptionally in BOTH ends are just so hard to come by, Bergeron and Richards are two that come to mind pretty quick. Did you ever see that NHL 36 on Bergeron? I really like him. And as much as we miss Richards on the ice, our defense has been pretty shotty this year, we had some real team chemistry problems the past few years, and the difference between then and now is significant

@chennighausen yeah wheeler was on that team. it was the year after they came outta nowhere but traded Kessel, lost Savard due to the Cooke hit, Lucic played 50 games on a bad high ankle sprain, Sturm & Wheeler would disappear for weeks, bergeron wasnt the same till really middle of last yr from the R. Jones hit. he had back 2 back 70+pt seasons b4 the hit. hes got 42pts in 47games now so he should reach it this yr w/ a plus - of +28 right now. i loved Richards tho u must miss him
