  • he wrote terrible articles on Nepal and Tibet, good work on Into Thin Air but please dont relate yourself to current events / politics, you dont know shit

  • He's one of the few men that look much more handsome with a beard & mustache.

  • Amazing book!

  • I'm about half way through reading the book and its really hard to put down. A really fascinating story and Tillman seems like such a complex person, you really grow to like him and wish that there was a happy ending to his story. Krakauer is a really talented writer.

  • @mikecorbeil You're better off reading the book itself. It's serious business.

  • Very good even if short, and people wanting the full hour interview can simply do a Web search using "Jon Krakauer" and booktv for search terms. I used only those two search terms and found copies of the interview at booktv (dot org) and c-spanvideo (dot org). The video viewer is larger at the latter website, which also says the interview is 59 minutes. Booktv's page doesn't specify the runtime. Based on this 10-minute clip the full hour should be very interesting.

  • best to read the book. i do not read a lot but this book was a must! worth taking the time.

  • I know about "friendly fire"...VIETNAM 68-69....God have mercy on their souls..

  • Without being insensitive, what is wrong with the interviewer?

  • thanks for copy pasting that for me
