In December 2008 the kuden training session was over stick fighting and kumite koncpets.
with the stick fighting we primarily looked at the hanbo from a defensive position of an attacker bringing and advance on us, however we looked at other applications as well as other stick weapons such as the tanbo. I also gave the students padded handbo and had them spar with it to hit various targets and test their skills against another person trying to beat them and take them to the ground.
The Kumite Koncepts is NOT SPARRING, this is the study of footwork - timing and distancing. With this type of training is is on the study of learning how to setup certain strikes in a real fight situation as well as learning combative tactical counters to various attacks that come into the body.

Your videos keep getting better and better! I really wish I could afford to go train with you. Maybe someday, but plane tickets (and car gasoline) keep getting more and more expensive.
