Slewinca's Kingdom Hearts Christmas Special - The Sequel

Uhm...this video isn't late, it's just really, really early! : D

My second Kingdom Hearts Christmas special, which is either slightly lackluster, not so bad, or a spectacular failure, however you look at it. ^^'

In short:
Saix mocks me, I give up on finding Christmas spirit among the KH crew, Axel fears genderbending (and rightly so), Saix glares, Axel and Saix sing about how the other has been an awful lover (whut); I veer off from the depressing and check in on the rest of Org. XIII, where Roxas, Xion, Zexion, and Demyx are watching Christmas specials, and Zexion's being...Zexion; Axel's fear is realized but turns out not to be so bad, and in a moment of nostalgia, we look back at Sora's childish, albeit cute, materialism when he meets the real Santa Claus.
And Sora and Riku wax Lady Gaga. Yeah.

The Axel/Saix part is, surprisingly, the part of this I'm proudest of. It was the part of the video I worked on first, and when I felt like the video as a whole wasn't working, I held on because I didn't feel as though the Axel/Saix part could be posted on its own without the vehicle of a special parody vid to hold it in.
(especially since Axel/Saix isn't quite a mainstream pairing in the fandom...yet)

Yes, it is an announcement of sorts: Because of the combination of both a fan soundtrack and an event in my personal life last year, I have developed an interest in the Axel/Saix friendship and fanpairing.
I'm sure it's a shock to most of you; the majority of my videos that have had Saix in them usually feature me doing awful things to him (like killing him or making him sing like Britney Spears). And please, don't worry; I still love AkuRoku. In fact, the only reason I can say that I do like Axel/Saix is because it doesn't really conflict with AkuRoku, at least in the canon; by the time AkuRoku is in play, Axel/Saix is pretty much over and done with.

Here's the story of that mini-AMV, in case my clip selection/editing wasn't as clear about it as I thought:
The mini-AMV focuses on their relationship in the past, when they were friends as kids, and how things began to fall apart once they became Nobodies and joined Organization XIII. Saix wants Axel to focus on their goals, which is manipulating the Organization to their favor, Axel, being the more emotional of the two, resents how cold and calculating Saix has become.
When Axel meets Roxas, someone who is the complete opposite of Saix, he finds a warmth and fullness that he hasn't felt in a long time. Not since he had become a Nobody.
Axel begins to pull away from Saix; Saix notices and chastises him for it, which only drives Axel away further.
When Roxas leaves, Axel and Saix are both left standing, devastated. To Saix, Roxas was the key to his goal of getting his heart back. To Axel, Roxas WAS his heart. Despite Roxas' abandonment, Axel can see no reason to begrudge him, and from then on, he works from a place of love toward the path that he is destined to follow, leaving Saix behind for good.
Since Saix is mostly emotionless, giving Axel his "heart" mainly refers to his trust in Axel. When that was broken, he devotes himself even more fully to, and places his trust in, his goal: Kingdom Hearts. Ultimately, he is betrayed by that as well. They were both pursuing a heart in different ways, and while Saix thought, for sure, that Axel was chasing a false hope, it turned out that he himself was doing just the same. They both met their demise in the end, the only difference being that Axel chose to be happy, while Saix chose to be right.
The most personal part of this video for me, are the lines "I thought you were someone to rely on; Me, I guess I was a shoulder to cry on." Although this fits their canon relationship as well, according to Axel's journal entries in 358/2 Days.

...well, actually, probably the Science channel would be best for that these days; Discovery has more reality shows now, and, I learned that bit about Jesus' real birthday from a show on the Science channel :D

(though, that one claimed it was in April, not the summer...which made me somehow happy, because my birthday is also in April. xD; I guess it makes up for my sharing a birthday with David Letterman. xP)

Wellll, since I'd heard from a friend of mine that Aeleus was basically Ienzo's babysitter, and seeing a screenshot of Ansem the Wise sharing some ice cream with lil' Ienzo, being all fatherly and whatnot, I wondered who would fill the role of the mother in that whole weird adoption scenario, and Even/Vexen fell into that role TOO easily. xD;

(not to mention that my mom, when seeing me make AMVs, has mistaken Vexen for a woman...twice. xD)
