@majinsnake: I owned it as well, can't say I had a problem beating it thou since it had a sort of "save game" /"load state" system in the form of passwords. The ending was rather anticlimatic, never understood how the mermaid was tied into the story.

I owned this game. I never beat it. My father and I would play it and after I went to sleep about 16 years ago.... He beat it. I never saw the ending.
