What do you expect from a woman with no judicial experience. She is getting the position because she is a old law school buddy of Barack Obama. A radical leftist who won't admit her opinions on the Second Amendment because she fears what will happen when people find out what she really thinks.
This woman doesn't belong on any court, let alone the Supreme Court... Pathetic...

Tha natural right to exist in humanity is endowed by our creator to spiritual beings having a human experience of life, no other authority has the right to take this away. these are the inalienable rights. The Constitution exists to assure humanity the usa gov will respect and protect these God given rights. Which by the way is under attack, vote Ron Paul to restore liberty in 2012!

The constitution doesn't grant rites. It protects the people from government infringement of those rites.

@Obamaluke, Even if this were a "christian nation" (I don't care to debate that point), the rights we recognize here are very different from the christian nations our forefather's emigrated from (that's why they came here typically). Our rights are also very different from the rights recognized in the bible. So what does that tell you? "Christian" has nothing to do with it. The rights we have as individuals are the ones we give ourselves as a nation. That's reality.

No rights are 'granted' by the Constitution, they are 'secured' by it. But who does the Constitution apply to?

how can she be confirmed ? my god
"Forty-nine Republican members of Congress have asked the House Judiciary Committee to “promptly investigate” Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan’s role in preparing a legal defense for ObamaCare when she served as solicitor general.
...“contradictory to her 2010 confirmation testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee...Justice Kagan “actively participated with her Obama administration colleagues in formulating a defense” for the law."

Sen. Lisa Murkowski: "Perhaps my most significant concern about Ms. Kagan’s testimony was her admission that she really was not familiar with the history of the Second Amendment relied upon by the Supreme Court in the Heller case. I would expect more from a scholar of American constitutional law."
