  • I am a Tamilian as well. The pain and suffering of each SL Tamil is borne by my heart. But, that does not mean emotions and violence would bring solution. Only peace negotiation. Had LTTE not killed Rajiv Gandhi, had they not treated Tamils as human shields, had they come for negotiation, India would have been by their side. It can't be forgotten that India supported LTTE with huge funds during the periods of Indira Gandhi and MGR. Prabhakaran believed only in violence but not in peace talks

  • Moreover, why LTTE killed the other Tamil leaders like Lakshman Kadirgamar? Why LTTE never negotiated for peace talks? I say this: Had LTTE revolted as a political organisation aligning with the other tamil groups, the world would have seen Tamil Eelam, by now. But, it adopted to violence and terrorism, which is not the solution for any problem. And LTTE had used Tamil civilians as human shields. The same Human Rights condemned the LTTE stating that they should not trap the innocent civilians

  • Dear friend, I do understand that Prabhakaran is not the cause of the war. He is only a consequence of the injustice displayed to the tamils. I emphasize my point stating that Sri Lanka did a major mistake in the beginning by depriving tamils of their rights, the 'Sinhala Only' act etc. But my point is the reason for starting the LTTE and its policies are genuine. But their method of operation was brutality and violence. And their biggest blunder is assassinating Rajiv Gandhi

  • Also, you wrote about the IDP camps. I encourage you to read and listen to the reports given by Human Rights Watch, ICRC, and Medicin San Frontieres about the true reality of these IDP camps. I have alot of respect for India as a country. It is the birthplace of my language, religion and culture (I'm SL Tamil). BUT the information you receive is censored. If you want the truth, get it from a unbiased, third-party observer. Indian government is allied with Rajapaksa, so it is not unbiased.

  • creativerazah: What your failing to understand is that Prabhakaran didn't create this war. People, like Prabhakaran, aren't a cause of this war.. they are a REACTION to the causes of this war. Since independence, Jaffna Tamils have been systematically discriminated against and persecuted by successive Sri Lanka governments... that is the CAUSE of the war. You wrote that SL Tamils will now get equal rights.... my question is, why weren't they given it before?

  • I repeat our caliber is much more higher than the IIFAs. We may not get awards from International Indian Film Academy awards, but we have got the best film award (Paruthiveeran, Subramaniapuram [nomination]) from Asian Film academy itself. Moreover, i understand your hatred towards Hindi-speaking people. But India is not only Hindi. That we should understand. I'll tel u one thing. I neither watch Hindi nor English movies as I feel we are much superior to these in our own ways.

  • Dear Siva,

I agree to your point. But, why should we bother about getting recognition from North India is my question? In no way, we are inferior to Bollywood. In fact, in many ways, we are superior to them. We should be worried only if we are not recognised by superiors. tamil cinema, in many ways, has a better caliber. Even IIFA. IIFA is organised by the Bollywood fratermity and awards are given only to Hindi movies as top priority

  • one more thing..huindia was not declared as national languageat all!!!!most of the people were wrongly educated.....

there are right now 29 official langauges status in india...there is know a term called"National"......

Those people that you mentioned were not invited into the Indian international film academy(do you know IIFA has academy officials)..there is no south indians in that catogery.

  • siavji was famous when rajini reached 60 yrs of his life span...before that itself he was famous in muthu(that time rajini was not recognised or wat)..but the acting was recognised by japan people than indian people(i mean north india)....

  • the other thing..there are 3 neigbouring states(kerala-pallur problem, andhra-krishna problem and karnataka-cauvery problem)..all these problems were created by central govt. this was absloutlety justified. the other problem came on the way was hogenikkal , immediately after solving these issues...wat did central govt do!!they remained as a spectator!!!!!!this is not the way govt responding!!i dont accept them as govt at all!!!!
