@EmperorofCartoons I'm curious. Do you think something always has to come from something, or can something come from nothing?
-
@EmperorofCartoons Faster than what? At 30km/s, two planets sized like mars and earth would take ten minutes to pass each other. In their clip this would take like 10 seconds, and they call it "slowed down".
-
@EmperorofCartoons Im sure they can make a wonderful argument. All full of facts. Yeah, my only problem is that there are a lot of assumptions in there, and facts that are motile, so I have a hard time swallowing it.

@950horsepower We can determine the age of stars based on the presence and amount of certain elements we can discern within them, as well as their distance from us. This is already being done.

@GodFearinKid We see other planets being formed, why should ours be any different? It doesn't necessarily preclude intelligent design nor the existence of God, but we do have to accept what we KNOW to be factual and then reconcile THAT with any sort of faith we may have. To do it the other way around is ignorance.

@wiseyeffect Oh no, not that stuff Neil Adams is always spouting off. There is no non-circumstantial evidence for that sort of behavior. Its just like the so called "electric universe" theory. Its pseudo science. It looks reasonable enough til you apply actual science to it then it falls apart.

@heloizyjhenifer Because in real life both the impacting planet and the shockwaves would be traveling much faster than that.
-
Why does he say they "slowed down" the stuff when what we see is like 100 times faster than real time, ie speeds of a few tens of km/s.
-
@Obelisk155 I'm not a smart person by a long shot but I know design when I see it, that's all. This universe did not "just happen by random chance" which seems to be the popular belief.
Great video :)

First of all we already know that large stars have a short life span compared to smaller stars...
As with all science in our history, we will be proven wrong about many things we thought were true in the future. It's part of evolving. In fact, our very bodies have evolved from failure. Nothing evolves without it.
But what he's saying makes perfect sense. How else do you possibly think a planet would form??? The earth was a large molten rock when it was forming.
