Dizzy elevated this song even more so. Go Bop!

For me no one ever topped this version. The defining song of its era.

A classic of swing era jazz.
A new biography of Bunny Berigan is now available: "Mr. Trumpet--the Trials, Tribulations and Triumph of Bunny Berigan" by Michael P. Zirpolo. For more info, search Mr. Trumpet.

Without a doubt the greatest recording of 1937. I was born 3 years later and this was the first record my mother bought for me and I played it over and over and just could never get tired of it. Amazing how it holds up today and still brings some tears to my eyes.

My Father played trumpet in a band back in the 50, I was a little boy and I heard this song and said Dad will you play this song for me and he said Laughting "who do you think I am Buddy Bergin" Still brings back a fond memory,Thanks for posting
