Hello, I would like to know where the other video is located, you mentioned, about basic recording midi keyboard and setting up . I haven't been able to locate it on YouTube yet. Can you post a link and was it uploaded originally with your same user name? Thanks for your all your efforts. Enjoying your videos. Wes

@ste1438 as far as guitar synths go,have you ever tried 'slayer 2'?
it does decent distorted gits, and if you mess with it enough, you can also get that 'ventures-walk don't run' sound.
but, still it requires quite a bit of external processing, and sadly, the amp modeler in fl10 isn't going to cut it, so you have to use 3rd party plugins. you won't get that 'police-roxanne' attack rhythm sound though, no matter how much compression you apply.
the acoustic gits are horrible though.

How to line-up the notes? so it is good in rythm when recording?
nice work on the floyd......
what vst are you using for the acoustic?

@rformidable It's a soundfont - I don't even know why I decide to try and play a guitar track on my keyboard though - I hardly ever do that. As far as quality goes - there are many guitar synths better than the soundfont I used here. In fact, I really was not too concerned about the quality because I wanted to emphasize the importance of humanizing and playing live. You heard how bad it sounds when it was sequenced - the live playing improved the quality more than anything.

@ste1438 as far as acoustic gits,a good synth is hard to come by..
i've got this free one i found a while back called 'spicy guitar'...
its not very involved, but it gives you a few controls for pick/hand style, tremolo, harmonics, twang, sustain etc.
yeah, its abit thin sounding, so once again, it requires lots of processing, but it can fit nicely into a mix.
i've found it to work better than many other vst's, but i still wouldn't use it as a lead instrument.
