I do not think that only porn has brought anal in vogue. I think that the cultural composition of the united states now includes a significant numbers of people from societies where anal is a common practice for example, Latin Americans, Middle Easterners, south Asians etc. The more guys and girls date people open to that at a young age, the more accepting they become of the practice.

This is the problem with anal sex. It can even cause anal prolapse, which basically is when your rectum starts falling out your ass. It's not, I repeat NOT a good thing.
