They are not wearing any protective clothing? RoundUp contains a lot of harmful chemicals.

@mattmontero1 Glyphosate is more harmful as an acid than as a poison to anything other than green growing stuff. Glyphosate doesn't linger around like 2,4-d and other herbicides do.  What an experienced landscaper would say is why the heck would they put down rooting hormone without some sort of protection. Those plant hormones do mess humans up bad. Go read the label on any root hormone and see for yourself.

Love how they are all Mexican. I bet they make $6 an hour and no benefits. I also noticed the "professionally installed" as they guy just drops it down haphazardly. No protective clothing, no ventilators.

Funny but to me, that finished product lawn didn't look that green and lush to me, I saw a few pale spots. lol.

If the lawn was not growing properly, the 1st step should of been a soil analysis test. If the lawn wasn't growing in that type of soil, it won't grow much if you don't add a fresh layer of 6-8" of good topsoil.

This almost looks like rednecks, or at least amateur.

@mattmontero1 Not only is it harmful, it must be used under some state licensing guidelines....notice how they don't even wet the ground before turning the dirt making a cloud of stuff just all over the neighborhood......NOW, THAT'S GREEN ECOLOGICAL friendly process NOOOOT. LOL

Very labor intensive process and very thorough. Too bad the new lawn is an ugly grass like St augustine or bahia. Zoysia or Bermudagrass looks so much nicer. Then again, considering how bad the lawn looked before I can see where you would not have a homeowner capable of taking care of a nicer looking grass. I did not use herbicide when I replaced my lawn but repeated plowing with a skid steer. Compost and horse waste mixed in to a depth of 10" gave the zoysia a good start and is now weed free.

Not even, if there is ANY weed seed left from the old lawn it will reoccur in the new lawn. The old lawn will be lacking nutrients and will not have enough to return to the soil. Gotta haul out the old turf and haul in new. My motto is to do whatever they would do at the superbowl or augusta, which would be to haul out the old turf and truck in topsoil.
