  • The reason why banging the drum is to synchronize with the oscillation/s of sound.. also as a programming such as Pavlov's dog experiment. just as an alert.. or can be said = period break-bell. brain to stop the previous ongoing thought process. many teachers make these all complicated so students do not understand anything..that is what teachers want too..power-greed. no guru wants his disciple to learn more than him.. these cults must end..

  • there is no need of postures.. posture is for ceasing the movements.. if you lie down, you tend to sleep so they cleverly made this posture for a conscious effort.. when you sit down like this, the bottom line is stillness. as a result, motor activities will stop and a complete relaxation.next phase is stillness of CONSCIOUS THOUGHTS. it is stupid when some one says,it must be on this posture or the other posture. Buddhism did not derive any postures but Hinduism..they got it through Buddha.

  • i love this (but that gong is a little loud so watch out)

  • I have been in sitting meditation at Buddhist temple in my community. One hour.

At first it is uncomfortable. I was about 60ish. Things hurt, oh my back is cramped, my knee, my this, my that. I sat on my knees and we could prepare with cushions and blankets for warmth. Then it was always bring it back to the mind and just name the feelings and noises or distractions cause the brain needs to know. I did. Pretty much always at the very end of that hour my whole being was totally relaxed.

  • is european usefull to you?

i use the buddhist or asian meditation techniques beacasue it helps and thats what a lot of ppl in my familey use

  • i like this i have been trying to find different meditation techniques and this one is really nice

  • Thank You very much!!! One thing I did learn, over the past few months, is that I can actually meditate to all kinds of music!! Though I think what works best for me is the up beat, techno or rock music. I don't know why but it really works for me!!

  • Dear Ten!by the time you read this maybe you are a 'pro' in meditation. Music..is THE BEST when starting..meditating. Remember 'thoughts' wil be always...there! just let them go.

    I bless you! Namaste!

  • You should try using European traditions to accomplish this technique.
