Just a quick video of my little pressure cooker. There's a 6.5 lb pork shoulder in there. The cooking liquid is a half cup bbq sauce and one cup apple juice. Cooking time 45 minutes at pressure, natural release after. Edit after this was posted: This pork took another 30 minutes at pressure to get to the fork tender state, but that was still way faster than if I had used another method to cook it. It was a large shoulder, still on the bone. It came out great.
@hyotang82 That regulator is supposed to simply rest over the vent hole. It should not fit tight, it is supposed to be able to gently rock, like in the video, when the cooker is at the proper pressure.

I have a quick question..! I have same presto pressure cooker(6quart) and I never used it. Is it normal the pressure regulator not fit perfectly on top of cover? instruction said it will fit loosely but isn't it pop up while you are cooking? .. I think mine seem to be fit too much loosely..

@TOMATNOSCE While I have no doubt the Fagor products are nice, the Presto cookers and canners have worked beautifully for me, and at a great price point. I'm still learning how to use them in my kitchen more effectively, and I'd like to try some pressure canning soon.

I'd choose this puppy over a Fagor any day. Efficient and non-complicated, affordable and works like a charm, every time.
Fagor, way too pricey for the same results.
