Everyone knows about the five regular vowels and the occasional sixth one, but Bruce Willis introduces the seventh.

  • The Seventh Vowel? No big deal. We, Hungarians have 14.

  • But wasnt Bruce Willis in the movie "Lucky Number Slevin"?

  • love the kid who stand at the shame spot by the chalkboard haha

  • @Srondon You're both right. Vowels are produced by moving the tongue through an open space, the oral cavity. There are an infinite gradation of tongue positions available, as there are between the places you stick your tongue to make t and g. In both cases they're set in certain intervals so that it sounds cohesive, and how many intervals there are at once is finite. Then there's an empirical limit, how many intervals languages actually have, and the physical Least Noticable Difference.
