Video footage from the Mariquita abduction rescue mission-July 2007. Six-year-old Mariquita (a little girl from our Una Esperanza children's shelter in Juarez, Mexico) was abducted and taken to a remote ranch in the Copper Canyon area of Mexico. Two weeks after her abduction and with little to go on, we set out to find her. After two very long days searching the Copper Canyon area, we found her, rescued her, and brought her home.
