Organized religion discussions make my head hurt. When I was younger, I used to blab about this stuff, too. But as Dylan wrote a long time ago, "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.". Now I am just happy to watch Larry David and his crew and laugh and laugh.

There is a comfort from distancing yourself from thought processes that came about in the infancy of our society -- to break from indoctrination that once molded your mind into believing absolutely ridiculous shit.

In time, nonsense scribblings from the Holy Bible, Koran, etc. WILL take the same road as Greek mythology. Sadly, however, it will most likely get replaced with something else that is "The Truth," but will have all the same ridiculous religious elements.

oh yea. larry david rules

Then you've just condemned the people I mentioned above as idiots. Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu lived in modern times and did great things based on faith in their religious convictions. What have you done? Blogged from your mother's basement? Furthermore, from what I've read and seen, their faith was based on more than a fairytale ... I doubt very much whether they saw God as Santa Claus. Faith dares the soul to move beyond what the eyes can see.

Faith doesn't "dare the soul to move beyond what the eyes can see". It blinds you from reason and gives you false hope. The earliest humans were amazed by the splendors of nature and tried to explain it in the best way they could, with their simple minds. Hence religion was born. Also, I should mention that the Bible was written by man...it is no more evidence of the existence of God then Lord of the Rings is evidence of the existence of Hobbits.

I have looked through my past posts and never once can I be accused of shilling for the Bible. Just the opposite. Over and over I've made the point that God is not exclusive to churches and holy liturgy, since those are human constructs. All I've ever maintained is that Larry David is a bourgeois Holllywood Liberal and his God is money and adulation. He has no business ridiculing my personal belief in God that stands at the center of my relationship with nature and the spiritual world.

If he has no right to ridicule your beliefs, than you have no right to criticize other peoples DISbelief.

I'd like to see where I did that? I believe I made a case for honesty, open-mindeness and willingness.

I don't give a fuk what you did or didn't say. Arguing with you is pointless because as a person of 'faith', you have no regard for logic, reason or science.

Ahh ... and another member of the Harvard Debating Society emerges on YouTube. Thanks for making my point more eloquently than I ever could. What's the matter ... couldn't think of Jew Fag fast enough?

I don't know anything about Jewish homosexuals or the Harvard Debating Society. However, if you are a gay Jew I wont hold it against you.
