The Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California is home to Mt. Whitney, at 14,505 ft above sea level, it's the highest point in the contiguous United States. Each Autumn, the Eastern Sierra comes to life with a Fall colors display that is a magnificent contrast to the surrounding arid environment. Eastern Sierra fall colors usually start in September at the higher elevations, and reach the valley floors (Bishop, CA) by mid-October. These shots were taken October 23 & 24, 2009 and include shots from McGee Creek, Tioga Pass, Rock Creek, and a vista just north of June Lake. The majority of the foliage are Aspens, which grow along the many creeks and tributaries.

Music by The Dada Weatherman, "Painted Dream."

Footage shot on the Panasonic HMC150 @ 720/60P. Exposure and contrast adjusted slightly in post, edited on Premiere Pro CS4. No other color correction... color is straight from the camera. Produced by Way West Media (www.waywestmedia.com).
