Just an FYI wire cages aren't good because they can try to climb out or hurt themselves by sticking their noses in them, aquariums are ideal. Also, pine bedding is really bad for hedgehogs (I used it on the ones I had when I was a kid because I didn't know better) because it gets stuck in their quills and the strong scent comes from dust that can get in their tiny lungs and can cause respiratory problems that result in early death. There's a better bedding that's large clumps of recycled paper.

Actually it isn't pine. I know that is bad for their health. I go between corn cob and paper. Otherwise, experience is a wonderful teacher in what he knows to or not do.
