  • Indeed. The water serves as a coolant, and keeps the dust from going into the air. Rare as it is, I don't wish silicosis on anyone.

  • good advice, though I think overloading the diamond is less important than avoiding the lung disease. Doesn't look like much fun to drag around an oxygen tank at 45.

  • It's a diamond grinding bit. There is water in the grinder reservoir. It's not a wood working router.

  • You are supposed to use diamond wheels to grind glass. Wood working routers are not the same. Glass should also be water or coolant cooled as you grind so you don't overload the diamond.
