Science is bigger and better at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition 2012

Students from all four corners of the country are gathering at the RDS in Dublin for the 48th BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
This year has seen an increase in the number of entries with over 1700 projects initially submitted for consideration with 550 projects making the final cut.
The number of schools taking part in this years competition has also increased with the final number standing at 354.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Friday evening.
