Suli nga ku dolen burra e gra luanesha,te cilet lord Bajroni do i admironte sa dhe te kishte dhe nje portret me kostumin e tyre.Suli i ashper nga ku dolen bocarenjte xhavellat, kollokotronet, bubulina etj, dhe flisnin nje gjuhe, "gluhen shqipe".

Dua te theksoj te thenurit malesor nuk do te thote vetem qe te jesh nga veriu i Shqiperise, por te jetosh ne male.
Suli eshte ne male,dhe pothuajse ne mes te Camerise, dhe per kete arsye i quajta malesor te Camerise me fe orthodokse.Ne nje liber te tij kushtuar shqiptreve ne greqi per fat te keq titulli nuk me kujtohet, prefesori i shkencave zoti Arben puto thekson ne kapitullin per suliotet:
SULIOTET ISHIN CAMER QE I PATEN RREZITUAR TURQVE NE MALE, DHE KISHIN RUAJTUR FENE E TYRE TE KRISHTERE.

Hello Suliot... You will find in the book of Sir Henry Holland "Travels in the Ionian Isles, Albania, Thessaly, Macedonia, etc" on page 448. You can find it for free at google books as online book.

There he says that the suli are Albanians... The book is from befor Greek state was formed.
