  • Well I was born in the Philippines and I used to be a Tank Commander on a M1A1 Abrams . Im sure the gunnery standards are not up to par that what Im used to but they have to do with the old British Scorpion light tanks . Well I hope thes Philippines are smart enough to get surplus German Leopard II tanks in my opinion is equivelent to an M1A1 as far as gunner's and commander's control of its weapons systems . "Gunner Sabot Tank !" "On the way !"

  • We still need tanks for our Cities

  • @nick74178ify yes, that is the problem. we dont have cheaper access to purchase tank or modern weaponry needed for our AFP modernization program

  • @pugugil china wont sell type 99 to Philippians since china hates them.

  • I guest its much better if the Philippines should purchase a stryker mobile gun or any amphibious tanks than having a more than 60 ton tank.

  • Philippine Army should purchase cheaper MBT's. I would suggest Type 99 from China. Much cheaper than Leopard2 or MA1A1.

  • @csntdualcore best reply ever although like ko din yung lait ng isa eh ganito tayong mga pinoy!!! Sulong mga kapatid!!!

  • @reddevilparatrooper I actually read somewhere that main battle tanks are not very useful in Philippine terrain. I would guess that most Philippine battles occur in the jungle and in small towns in Mindanao.

Also, I appreciate your interest in the military of the country where you were born. :)

  • @csntdualcore tama ka nga..... think before you click!!!!

  • ored some M-1 ABRAMS 1 lang atleast ay 1 heavy tank

  • @reddevilparatrooper yeah, true, atleast we must upgrade our armour divisions
