I've never seen a JRT work game birds before, but hey....if it works why not.

It's fun to see how a jack stalks his prey and succeeds grabbing ther rabbit.
My jack kills and rips the whole thing open, very nasty to see, and hard to explain to others.
But like you said, it;s in there nature.
I love how they are not afraid of anything.
My jack doesnt back down for any sized dog, which is funny, but sometimes I do get a little worried, if the other dog is kinda big and grumpy.

I love Jack Russells. My terrier stalks and even kills many vermin, pigeons and chickens. I tried everything I could to stop this in her but its her nature and she is very good at it!

im thinking about getting on of these little guys, i want to use it for small game hunting, can i train the dog to both point, and chase small game like rabbits and squirrels, and especially pheasants, without it killing them?

well my dog just chases the pheasant out and forces them to fly so i can shoot them in the air as for rabbits and squirells most of the time they get away, there pretty fast, but he has got a few and i cant stop him from killing them, its in a dogs nature to hunt and kill

yup hunting seasons only a month away, he cant wait ! he loves it. hope corn harvest isnt too late this year. the pheasant seem to hide too well in there and makes it hard to spot them. i hunt the ditches on the dirt roads and if the corn is still up. they stay in the corn fields. which makes for tough hunting
