This game was originally released on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, but they also made an SNES version, featured in this video. It's a platformer with a Christmas theme, since you control Santa (and his evil twin, Anti-Claus, if you drink coffee). As far as Christmas-themed games go, this is great. As for being a video game made for children, it's quite good. As a platformer, it's just average. The first level is really simple, but the other levels are a little more complex, while still featuring the same basic kind of gameplay that was already available in a lot of titles (the 8-bit and 16-bit market was flooded with platformers). I'd say, if you can, give it a try, it's not great, but it's not bad either, and it's got that little unique feeling that helps you to forget the average gameplay. Just how many Christmas video games have you played (not counting unlicensed games)? Probably not a lot, and this one is at least playable.
This game is a lot better on Genesis..
