and if he was getting food doesnt that mean he was off duty? (like on lunch) unless our tax dollars give them paid lunches too! In that case why would he need to respond to an emergency?

There's something seriously wrong when a cop can get away with breaking a law that would send the avg citizen to pay fines & possible serve jail time. Cops should not be allowed to break the "little laws" b/c it will only feed into their breaking larger ones. Then what good are they going to be at their job PAID FOR BY THE TAXPAYERS? None at all. They will become dirty cops on the take & to hell w/the law b/c they'll be above the law & nobody should be above the law - not even cops!

If they're allowed to break the supposed "little laws," how long will it take before it's okay for them to break even bigger laws such as taking pay-offs/brides, turning a blind eye to crimes taken place, allowing inebriated drivers to return to their vehicles & drive away? Where does it stop? That's the whole thing in a nutshell & the truth is - it doesn't. It keeps growing until cops will be able to do anything w/o fear of consequences we'd face in a courtroom w/fines & possible jail time.
