@BluePittbull666 So I noticed you like to go on multiple pages and post the same comment over and over...

@FinalKenny2 How do you mean? From a punch or trying to grab him from the back? If it's from a punch then the punch is negated if he enters deep enough...if the guy crawls up his back it doesn't matter...the throw will still happen. It would be even easier then. My teenage son tried crawling up my back to choke me....I hip threw him to the ground. Took him by total surprise....then I laid over his face until he tapped from not being able to breathe....:O)

I know it's just a kata, but I do have the feeling that the uke could reach him with the other arm.
From my experience that should never be the case.
Could someone explain?

its also a beautiful setup for a garuma.... it would be devastating combined with a strike to the nose and/or neck... beautiful demonstration, expert village is the best!!!
the uke shouldn´t do the yokemenuchi from teh side. It should start from above the head like shomenuchi. it is great technique nevertless

Agreed. Yokomen is entirely vertical. The illusion of side movement is created by uke's footwork, as he steps out and then turns his torso, "cutting" back into nage.
