This explains why nobody who witnessed the Pentagon attack on 9/11 saw the plane fly over the Pentagon while the missile hit the Pentagon. Their brains told them that the ONLY thing that could've hit the Pentagon was the plane. It's the exact same principle as the magic trick in which we think we saw the coin fly from one hand to the other when we actually didn't. WELL I'LL BE DAMNED, THE 9/11 CONSPIRACY THEORISTS WERE RIGHT!
