But wait, what if the kids wanna play with the label?

@Amyyyy10 My sister has a similar method and she printed out a picture of the toy on the front of each drawer. Works great!

i did this and the kid came over and dumped it all out and then nocked of the signs:C

or you can get clip art from the computer and stick that on the box or bin, cars, dinosaurs, balls etc..

@Amyyyy10 You could use hard plastic containers and use a zip-tie line to secure the toy. You may need to drill a hole in some toys, like blocks, in order to get a zip-tie through them. But once they are secured there is no way to get the toys off (this method was used this a day-care I worked for-- 15-two-year-old and two years later they were still secure.) :-D

@Amyyyy10 I would take a picture of the toy and tape it there so you could take it down. =)

you're right about the hammer. The kid might rip the container just to get that hammer!

suggestion: Be ready with your container everytime theres a set of new toys. expensive. even cheap. junky toys should be stored separately. ex.Mixing all the different sets of blocks in one container is not good! young kids will get frustrated if they cant find the rest of the pieces...and hard to clean up too!
whhat if the kids want to play with the toys that are labeling the conntainer?

You know what else might be a good idea? You can still put up a little sign that says "Stuffed Animals" or "Blocks" on the bin, and it might help them learn what the word means, what it looks like, etc. Just a little thought.
