The only way people will be able to create technology to turn people/items invisible is if they figure out a way to create material that can cancel out existing optical technology. I'm talking things like infrared and thermal optics. They would have to combine this "meta-material" with material that can mask thermal energy.

oh and for the nay sayers. Watch how the video of people walking on the tv screen starts to lag when the guy moves in front of it. if it were a green screen or projector there would be no latency. the suit is doing its best to translate real world data into the jacket to get the sense of invisibility but this is a working model. so in that sense ive just shut you all down. good night.
