Farmers took a moment yesterday to talk about the cause of high food prices in the United States and around the world. They made a point of stating that ethanol is not the main culprit, but only a very small part of the increased cost. Where to look? Big Oil, as transportation costs are far more influential in food costs than the corn in the food.
The Honorable John Block, former Secretary of Agriculture
Tom Buis, President, National Farmers Union (NFA)
Bob Dinneen, President of the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA)
Rick Tolman, CEO, National Corn Growers Association (NCGA)
