Here's the stereo track for this Cole Porter song. I would guess that the deleted section was filmed, since taps are always post-dubbed and wouldn't be in the mix had it not been filmed.

    IMDB says it was Edward B. Powell, who also orchestrated "Broadway Melody of 1940".
