@midnightrog Forcing a 800+ pound animal to lay down against its would be *nearly* impossible if you were doing it this way. If the horse didnt trust her, he would not have layed down. Sure, it might not look good, and it might look like force, but as I said, you try and force a 800+ pound animal to lay down this way against his will, and you will find it impossible. He DID trust her, or he would not have layed down in the first place.

aw i love the name cadillac for a horse :) but please, don't tie ropes around his legs, unless u want to break them of course...
-
Too much force, it's nothing about trust here, it's all about force.
feel sorry about that horse...
-
that's not how u should do it. To much force.

That's just sick. You're disgusting me.

well done you can see the horse has a lot of trust in you.

@AncientPollyanna the horse in this video does not look the least bit tortured, it is whiney anally retentive people like you that are ridiculous. you should try real life sometime I know its a challenge but it is a lot more fulfilling.

This woman is torturing her horse. This is just ridiculous. i just point to the ground and my horse rolls around. Again, this is just ridiculous.

@1Cowgirl4Christ i can be honest, my technique can be dangerous... the technique im using is actually for taming a wild colt, it is said once you lay one down they build a respect and trust for you like nothing else because laying is when a horse is most vulnerable. but basically i taught cadillac by tieing the rope around his left ankle (wrap their ankle to prevent rope burn) then i put it over his back and pulled the leg tight and with the halter i pulled him down, he went down on try 2!
when you cant even pick up a foot easily, i would think you were missing something...felt uncomfortable watching this...too much force..not enough trust. sorry.
