During a press briefing Wednesday, White House Press Secy. Jay Carney confused Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for Jimi Hendrix's drummer Mitch Mitchell.

@Chippy5544 It's true though. Unemployment benefits directly benefit the economy by increasing demand from the bottom up (which in turn creates more jobs). This is not only intuitively true, but also backed by contemporary economic theory and sociological data.
