unknown repeater on 27.305? It does send a callsign but the QSB was so bad, I couldn't read it.

  • a nice neat lil' radio there Pete, my mate had one of those and got great results with it.

  • Hi Jay, yes, lovely little rig. Got it off of ebay for £20 the guy didn't have the power lead and didn't know if it was working or not, so got a new power lead for it and here we are, working just fine. I'm playing around with aerials at the moment. Take care mate and thanks for taking the time to comment. Keep in touch mate. 73.

  • I dont know why the FCC put CB radio on 27Mhz instead of 49Mhz,This would have made 26-28 Mhz one big 11 meter HAM band as is should have been..

  • @HighFlyer186

Yes I think too, i heard german gate on chanell 11 in base 40, even tried to 'break' but nobody heard me or i was locked by CTCSS code.

  • they are dominicans or from puerto rico and theres one from spain but i dont think that they have a repeater i think that they are ham but are transmitting on 11 meters

i have hear some from dominican republic, puerto rico, and cuba in my truck in mexico in chanel 9 and 32 but they have a lot of power i live from 100 miles from texas and they are loud and clear in mexico

  • Interesting Radio... I like the "country selection" button, EU/UK. I don't think the FCC would EVER allow something like that for a consumer radio in the US...

  • spain...

  • It's spanish, by the acent I'd say it's from Spain. It may be a repeater but my best guess would be a retransmission of an echolink node or another VoIP mode.

  • not a repeater, but someone with a k tone roger bleep.

the carrier drops which shows people are transmitting seperately and not through any kind of repeater.
