The main purpose of "Millennial Peru" is to reveal the most magnificent and ancient archaeological sites in Peru, and the current experiences of andean communities, with particular emphasis in the continuities, parallels and differences between past and present.

The relevance of specific topics in both periods, the historical roots of current issues and the application of prehispanic technology in modern communities, will be some of the ways used every week to link the archaeological and historical evidence with the present.

This series will use a language and expositive ways according to a wide non-academic audience. Through visual resources, 3D-animations and texts provided by the conductor-narrator, the audience will be able to see archaeological sites, natural landscapes and the communal activities related to them. The show will present the points of view and comments of all the social actors involved in every subject in a very interactive way, with special attention to interviews and testimonies in these sequences.

"Millennial Peru" will also include the "reflexive" point of view, used -for example- in the long walks of the "Chasqui". In each program, the Chasqui will explore a new and unknown route, leading the audience through a very hard -and sometimes extreme- environment.

Both Chasqui and the host-conductor, will begin a neverending journey to reveal the fascinating pages of America's most ancient history.
