2011 BMW 550i vs. Jeep SRT8 (You'll be surprised)

The 550i is bone stock and with about 200 miles.

The Jeep has Diablo Predator Tune, Borla S-type exhaust, B Woody intake, and oil catch can.

I own both a 550i and a Charger SRT8. The SRT8 will smoke the 550 from a dig all day long. Anywhere above 90mph, the BMW willl hit the sweet spot and out accelerate the SRT all day long. I consistently run 12.9 in the SRT and around 13.9 in the 550i (with Sport Package, auto trans).

@cdesmondo This is where YOU should be surprised! The 550i in this video is a 2011. The owner previously had a 2008 550i (Fully loaded, sport package, etc.) which was the SRT8's bitch. He traded it in for the new 550i is a whole new beast, which will run the quarter mile a second faster than the previous version. This video marks where the tables were turned. It's too bad the new SRT8's, although extremely high quality throughout, aren't much faster than the 2006-2010's.

@SHAKExKYSx It doesn't take much to launch a Jeep SRT8. In this video, he was not "power braking" or "brake torquing" which results in a slightly improved launch. As a matter of fact, he didn't think he would need to use the brake for the launch in this video, hence the "surprise." I know cars very well, but I don't spend my time "magazine racing." Furthermore, this 550i was the first EVER on the streets in the US. I hope to re-do this race soon, this time with the cars launching simultaneously.
